<새번역>
<공동>
<NIV11>
5:1-8 1) Do not rebuke an older man harshly, but exhort him as if he were your father. Treat younger men as brothers, 2) older women as mothers, and younger women as sisters, with absolute purity. 3) Give proper recognition to those widows who are really in need. 4) But if a widow has children or grandchildren, these should learn first of all to put their religion into practice by caring for their own family and so repaying their parents and grandparents, for this is pleasing to God. 5) The widow who is really in need and left all alone puts her hope in God and continues night and day to pray and to ask God for help. 6) But the widow who lives for pleasure is dead even while she lives. 7) Give the people these instructions, so that no one may be open to blame. 8) Anyone who does not provide for their relatives, and especially for their own household, has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.
<ESV>
5:1-8 1) Do not rebuke an older man but encourage him as you would a father, younger men as brothers, 2) older women as mothers, younger women as sisters, in all purity. 3) Honor widows who are truly widows. 4) But if a widow has children or grandchildren, let them first learn to show godliness to their own household and to make some return to their parents, for this is pleasing in the sight of God. 5) She who is truly a widow, left all alone, has set her hope on God and continues in supplications and prayers night and day, 6) but she who is self-indulgent is dead even while she lives. 7) Command these things as well, so that they may be without reproach. 8) But if anyone does not provide for his relatives, and especially for members of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.
<NASB>
5:1-8 1) Do not sharply rebuke an older man, but rather appeal to him as a father, to the younger men as brothers, 2) the older women as mothers, and the younger women as sisters, in all purity. 3) Honor widows who are widows indeed; 4) but if any widow has children or grandchildren, let them first learn to practice piety in regard to their own family, and to make some return to their parents; for this is acceptable in the sight of God. 5) Now she who is a widow indeed, and who has been left alone has fixed her hope on God, and continues in entreaties and prayers night and day. 6) But she who gives herself to wanton pleasure is dead even while she lives. 7) Prescribe these things as well, so that they may be above reproach. 8) But if anyone does not provide for his own, and especially for those of his household, he has denied the faith, and is worse than an unbeliever.
