이번 주는 하나님의 언약 백성이 된 이스라엘 진영에 대하여 반드시 지켜야 할 성결 의무를 명하시는 말씀을 듣게 됩니다. 이 말씀은 오늘날 언약 공동체인 교회에서도 그대로 지켜야 할 기본 정신에 대한 교훈을 들려주게 됩니다.

다음의 질문들을 통하여 본문을 미리 살펴보시지요.

- 본문에 ‘진영’에 관계된 표현이 모두 몇 번 사용되었습니까?

민 5:1-10 　1) The Lord said to Moses, 　2) “Command the Israelites to send away from the camp anyone who has a defiling skin disease* or a discharge of any kind, or who is ceremonially unclean because of a dead body. / *The Hebrew word for defiling skin disease, traditionally translated “leprosy,” was used for various diseases affecting the skin. 　3) Send away male and female alike; send them outside the camp so they will not defile their camp, where I dwell among them.” 　4) The Israelites did so; they sent them outside the camp. They did just as the Lord had instructed Moses. 　5) The Lord said to Moses, 　6) “Say to the Israelites: ‘Any man or woman who wrongs another in any way* and so is unfaithful to the Lord is guilty / *Or woman who commits any wrong common to mankind 　7) and must confess the sin they have committed.
