이번 주는 종교개혁기념주일을 맞아서 하나님의 말씀을 바르고 정직하게 전하지 않는 실상을 돌아보게 됩니다.

다음의 질문들을 통하여 본문을 미리 살펴보시지요.

- 2절에서 하나님의 경고를 받는 예언자들은 어떻게 예언을 하는 자들이었습니까?

- 3절을 보면, 그들이 그렇게 거짓 예언을 하는 것은 무엇이 없기 때문입니까?

겔 13:1-16 　1) 주님께서 나에게 말씀하셨다. 　2) "사람아, 너는, 예언한다고 하는 이스라엘의 예언자들을 규탄하여 예언하여라. 자기들의 마음대로 예언하는 사람들에게, 나 주가 하는 말을 들으라고 하여라. 　3) 나 주 하나님이 말한다. 내가 보여 준 환상을 보지도 못하고 저희들의 생각을 따라서 예언하는, ①어리석은 예언자들에게 화가 있을 것이다. / ①또는 '악한' 　4) 이스라엘아, 너희 예언자들은 폐허 더미에 있는 여우와 같다. 　5) 너희의 성벽이 무너졌는데도, 너희 예언자들은 성벽 무너진 곳에 올라가지도 않았으며, 이스라엘 족속을 위하여 주의 날에 전쟁에 대비하려고 성벽을 보수하지도 않았다. 　6) 그들은 헛된 환상을 보고, 속이는 점괘를 보며, 내가 그들을 보내지도 않았는데 내가 일러준 말이라고 하면서 예언을 하고 또 그 말이 이루어지기를 기다리고 있다! 　7) 나는 너희에게 전혀 말한 일이 없는데, 너희는 나에게 받은 말씀이라고 하면서, 헛된 환상과 속이는 점괘를 말한 것이 아니냐? 　8) 그러므로 나 주 하나님이 말한다. 너희가 헛된 것을 말하고 속이는 것을 보았기 때문에, 내가 너희를 치겠다. 나 주 하나님의 말이다. 　9) 헛된 환상을 보고 속이는 점괘를 말하는 그 예언자들을 내가 직접 치겠다. 그들은 내 백성의 공회에 들어올 수도 없고, 이스라엘 족속의 호적에 등록될 수도 없고, 이스라엘 땅으로 들어갈 수도 없을 것이다. 그 때에야 비로소 너희는, 내가 주 하나님인 줄 알게 될 것이다. 　10) 내가 이렇게 그들을 치는 까닭은, 그들이 내 백성을 잘못 인도하였기 때문이다. 무엇하나 잘 되는 것이 없는데도 잘 되어 간다고 하여 백성을 속였기 때문이다. 내 백성이 담을 세우면, 그들은 그 위에 회칠이나 하는 자들이다. 　11) 그러므로 너는, 회칠하는 자들에게, 그 담이 무너질 것이라고 말하여라. 내가 소나기를 퍼붓고, 우박을 쏟아내리고, 폭풍을 일으킬 것이니, 　12) 그 담이 무너질 때에, 그들이 발랐던 그 회칠이 다 어찌되었느냐고, 비난하여 추궁할 것이라고 하여라. 　13) 그러므로 나 주 하나님이 말한다. 내가 분노하여 폭풍을 일으키고, 내가 진노하여 폭우를 퍼붓고, 내가 분노하여 우박을 쏟으면, 그 담이 무너질 것이다. 　14) 너희가 회칠한 그 담을, 내가 허물어서 땅바닥에 쓰러뜨리고, 그 기초가 드러나게 하겠다. 그 담이 무너지면, 너희가 그 밑에 깔려서 죽을 것이다. 그 때에야 비로소 너희는, 내가 주인 줄 알 것이다. 　15) 내가 이렇게 그 담과 그것을 회칠한 자들에게 내 분노를 다 쏟고 나서, 너희에게 말할 것이다. '그 담은 사라졌고, 그것을 회칠한 자들도 사라졌다. 　16) 예루살렘을 두고 예언한 이스라엘의 예언자들과, 전혀 평화가 없는데도 예루살렘에 대하여 평화의 환상을 본 사람들이 사라졌다' 할 것이다. 나 주 하나님의 말이다."

'야훼의 말씀을 들어라. 　3) 주 야훼가 말한다. 저주받아라, 너희 발현을 보지도 않은 채 멋모르고 제 생각에 끌려다니는 미련한 예언자들아! 　4) 이스라엘아, 너희의 예언자들은 허물어진 옛 성터나 돌아다니는 여우 같은 것들이다. 　5) 이스라엘 족속을 지키는 성이 무너졌는데도 올라가서 다시 성을 쌓아 야훼의 거둥 날, 전쟁에 대비하기는커녕 　6) 허황한 환상이나 보고 속임수로 점이나 치면서 야훼의 말을 사칭하는 것들이다. 내가 보내지도 않았는데 멋대로 지껄이고는 그대로 이루어지기를 은근히 바라는 것들이다. 　7) 너희가 허황한 환상을 보고 속임수로 점을 치면서 야훼의 말이라고 하지만, 나는 그런 말을 한 적이 없다. 　8) 주 야훼가 말한다. 너희는 터무니없는 환상을 보고 허무맹랑한 말을 하였다. 내가 기필코 너희를 치리라. 주 야훼가 하는 말이다. 　9) 허황한 환상이나 보고 속임수로 점이나 치는 예언자라는 것들을 이 손으로 치리라. 내 백성의 모임에 들이지도 않고 이스라엘 족속의 명단에서도 빼어 이스라엘 땅에 들어가지도 못하게 하리라. 그제야 너희는 내가 주 야훼임을 알리라. 　10) 그 예언자라는 것들은 무엇 하나 잘되는 것이 없는데도 잘만 되어간다고 하며 나의 백성을 비뚤게 이끌었다. 그래서 백성이 담을 쌓으면, 그 위에 회나 바르는 것들이다. 　11) 그 회를 바르는 자에게 말하여라. 그 담은 무너진다. 소나기가 쏟아지고 주먹 같은 우박이 퍼붓고 광풍이 불어닥치면, 　12) 그 성은 마침내 무너지리니, 회칠한 것이 다 어찌 되었느냐는 비난을 면하지 못하리라. 　13) 주 야훼가 말한다. 내 홧김에 광풍이 불어닥치고 내 분노에 소나기가 쏟아지고 내 진노에 주먹 같은 우박이 내려 이 성을 허물어뜨릴 것이다. 　14) 나는 너희가 회칠한 성을 바닥이 드러나게 헐어내리리라. 그 성이 무너질 때 너희는 그 틈에 깔려 죽으리라. 그제야 너희는 내가 야훼임을 알리라. 　15) 나는 이렇게 그 성과 그 성에 회칠한 자들에게 화를 풀고 나서, 너희에게 말할 것이다. - 성도 없어졌다. 성에 회칠한 자들도 없어졌다. 　16) 발현을 본답시고 보고는 무엇 하나 잘되는 것 없는데도 잘되어 간다고 하면서 그것을 예루살렘 주민에게 나의 말이라고 전하던 이스라엘의 예언자들은 없어졌다. 주 야훼가 하는 말이다.'

Say to those who prophesy out of their own imagination: ‘Hear the word of the Lord! 　3) This is what the Sovereign Lord says: Woe to the foolish* prophets who follow their own spirit and have seen nothing! / *Or wicked 　4) Your prophets, Israel, are like jackals among ruins. 　5) You have not gone up to the breaches in the wall to repair it for the people of Israel so that it will stand firm in the battle on the day of the Lord. 　6) Their visions are false and their divinations a lie. Even though the Lord has not sent them, they say, “The Lord declares,” and expect him to fulfill their words. 　7) Have you not seen false visions and uttered lying divinations when you say, “The Lord declares,” though I have not spoken? 　8) “‘Therefore this is what the Sovereign Lord says: Because of your false words and lying visions, I am against you, declares the Sovereign Lord. 　9) My hand will be against the prophets who see false visions and utter lying divinations. They will not belong to the council of my people or be listed in the records of Israel, nor will they enter the land of Israel. Then you will know that I am the Sovereign Lord. 　10) “‘Because they lead my people astray, saying, “Peace,” when there is no peace, and because, when a flimsy wall is built, they cover it with whitewash, 　11) therefore tell those who cover it with whitewash that it is going to fall. Rain will come in torrents, and I will send hailstones hurtling down, and violent winds will burst forth. 　12) When the wall collapses, will people not ask you, “Where is the whitewash you covered it with?” 　13) “‘Therefore this is what the Sovereign Lord says: In my wrath I will unleash a violent wind, and in my anger hailstones and torrents of rain will fall with destructive fury. 　14) I will tear down the wall you have covered with whitewash and will level it to the ground so that its foundation will be laid bare. When it* falls, you will be destroyed in it; and you will know that I am the Lord. / *Or the city 　15) So I will pour out my wrath against the wall and against those who covered it with whitewash.
