이번 주는 지난주 바벨탑 사건과는 달리 하나님께서 그 이름을 내주시겠다 약속하셨던 아브라함의 신앙의 여정 초기 부분의 이야기를 읽게 됩니다.

이 본문에는 아브라함이 조카 롯에게 좋은 것들을 먼저 선택하도록 양보할 수 있었던 이유가 무엇인지, 그리고 그 선택 과정에 합당하게 하나님께서 어떻게 대해 주시는 지에 대한 교훈이 담겨 있습니다.

There Abram called on the name of the Lord. 　5) Now Lot, who was moving about with Abram, also had flocks and herds and tents. 　6) But the land could not support them while they stayed together, for their possessions were so great that they were not able to stay together. 　7) And quarreling arose between Abram’s herders and Lot’s.
