이번 주일은 새해의 첫 주를 시작하는 신년주일입니다.

금년 우리의 고백은 ‘자기 부인’입니다. 

마태, 마가, 누가복음의 세 공관복음서 공히 예수님의 십자가 앞에서의 자기 부인에 관한 교훈은 베드로의 훌륭한 신앙고백에 바로 뒤이어 나오는 말씀이었습니다. 

이 두 말씀을 이어 읽으면, 베드로의 신앙고백과 예수님의 십자가의 길 사이에는 무언가 간극이 보이는데, 그 간극이 바로 우리가 따라야 할 십자가의 길, 곧 자기 부인의 길을 행하는데 가장 주의깊게 살펴야 할 요소일 것입니다. 

다음의 질문들을 통하여 본문을 미리 살펴보시기 바랍니다.

- 21절의 ‘이때로부터’라는 말은 어떤 시점을 기준으로 하는 말입니까?
